About Yogi Kalikananda Saraswati

Born in Kolkata to a Bengali family, and raised as a posthumous child at the Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home in Rahara, West Bengal (2009), Swamiji’s early life was filled with introspective questions about existence, spirituality, and truth. These seeds of spiritual curiosity matured during his graduation in Physics (2013), sparking a deep longing to explore the roots of Bharatiya Sanskriti.

His spiritual odyssey led him to Mahakaleshwar, Ujjain and Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, where he immersed himself in ascetic life at Markandeya Sannyasa Ashram, under the wise eyes of Dr. Vinaya Chaitanya Ji, Sw. Pranavananda Saraswati Ji, and Brahmleen Sw. Vinayananda Saraswati Ji.

It was here that he met Sw. Chidananda Saraswati Ji, who introduced him to the revered Sw. Sagarananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj of Aananda Akhada in Trayambakeshwar, Nasik, Maharashtra — a meeting that changed the course of his life.

After two years of intense tutelage under Swami Sagarananda Ji, he took the sacred Sannyasa Initiation during the Ujjain Mahakumbh 2016.

Since then, Swamiji has been a roaming monk, traveling across Bharat and inspiring seekers through personal dialogues, meditative silence, and reflections on unity, knowledge, and inner awakening.
